Chapel Amble is located just inland from Cornwall’s north coast and near to the fabulous beaches of Rock and the surfing mecca that is Polzeath. The Point at Polzeath offers a swimming pool and is only a 10 minute drive away. Only a short drive to the towns of Port Isaac famed in the TV series of Doc Martin and Padstow, a renowned foodie’s paradise with some of the county's finest restaurants. Wadebridge, which adjoins Egloshayle,  is a great shopping town with fine individual boutiques and the cathedral city of Truro the Duchy’s capital. An ideal location for cyclists and walkers with the close proximity of the scenic Camel Trail. Attractions in the area include National Trust properties, Bodmin Steam Railway, Heligan gardens, The Eden Project and many fabulous beaches like Bedruthan Steps and Watergate Bay.

Enter into the central hallway, a perfect place for your holiday kit from sun hats and sandals to walking boots and wellingtons. Just off the hallway is the lounge complemented with stylish furnishings, perfect to relax after days exploring whilst taking in your favourite movie on the TV. Towards the back of the property is the kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, bread maker, microwave and just off the kitchen is the utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining area is a light and airy space with wooden floors and ample seating, just perfect for a family celebration. From the kitchen/diner is the snug with TV, wood burner and seating for four. On the ground floor and just off from the hallway are two bedrooms, a double and a twin which overlooks the front of the property. Then accessed via a central staircase is a dormer master double bedroom which has wooden floors and views over the local countryside and is equipped with an en-suite bathroom with hand held shower over bath and WC. Heading back to the ground floor you will find the main bathroom with shower over bath and an adjoining separate WC.

Outside, the garden is laid to lawn with charcoal BBQ and garden furniture. A beautiful covered terrace adorns the length of the front elevation, with exterior hot and cold rainfall shower, wooden decking and seating. The rear of the property has an enclosed courtyard again with garden furniture. Parking at the property is provided and can easily accommodate two cars with anchor points for boats and motorbikes.

Mallard Reach lived up to our expectations. A 1930s bungalow extended and adapted whilst keeping many oringinal features. Good to have several very comfortable seating areas, though we spent most time in the dining/living room. Kitchen better equipped than many holiday homes we've stayed in. Comfortable bed, feather & down duvet, large fluffy towelRead mores, view across the fields - brilliant! Perfect, quiet location from which to explore North Cornwall, and handy for the Maltsters Arms! Hide

We love this house. This is our second visit and it was as good as before. The house is very relaxing and a fantasic location to explore the north coast. It's great to relax with a coffee on the front deck or in the seating in the front garden. There is plenty of room to spread out as a family or come together and relax together. Lovely cottage in quiet village with pub and shop. Sadly pub not open when we visited due to lack of staff. Comfy beds, thick towels and plenty of crockery. Lots of space and nice outdoor areas. Tourist attractions easily reached but be aware of narrow Cornish lanes!! We had a lovely week and would visit again.
