Hessacott Cottage is spaciously converted from two old cottages with open fireplaces, beams and character features. It is set by itself in open countryside with extensive views all around next to a quiet country road. Bed and breakfast is available all year. Your hosts Melanie and Peter Landells offer a friendly welcome and a relaxed atmosphere.

SITUATION We are ideally situated on the Devon / Cornwall borders only 10 minutes from the A30 and Launceston, gateway to Cornwall. Holsworthy, a thriving market town is only 12 miles away, while Bude and other beaches for swimming and surfing, are only a 30 minute drive. Both Dartmoor and Bodmin and readily accessible. Plymouth and Exeter and both about 1 hour away. We make an ideal stop if you are making a longer journey on into Cornwall.

THINGS TO DO The area has numerous places to visit, including historic towns, National Trust properties, gardens, arts and crafts galleries. Nearby you can play golf, go walking, riding, fishing, sailing, canoeing or windsurfing. Exeter with its excellent shops and cathedral is an easy day trip. Plymouth too is not far and from there you can take boat trips around the Sound or up the River Tamar.

ACCOMMODATION We have one large guest bedroom with a double bed and en suite shower room and WC. From here there are stunning views of open countryside and guests are welcome to sit in the garden to enjoy the views. There is a sitting room for guests, TV, an open fireplace and oil fired central heating.

FOOD We provide for a range of tastes in our breakfasts from continental to the full English variety. We enjoy cooking and evening meals are available if requested in advance. We very happily cater for vegetarians. There are also numerous places to eat in the locality

PRICE per person per night is £20. Evening meals are extra by arrangement.

NON SMOKING throughout.
