Denise and Dennis Congdon welcome you to Pegsdown Cottage, a quiet, peaceful and comfortable holiday cottage a quarter of a mile from the owners' farmhouse on their beef and sheep farm. English Tourist Board 3 stars. Sleeps 6. Available for long or short lets all year.

SITUATION The cottage is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful countryside with views over green fields and yet is just three miles from the coast. It is near the Cornwall / Devon Border midway between the pretty villages of Week St Mary and Marhamchurch, where there is an excellent Pub, Post Office, Shop and Church.
Sea, Surfing and Sandy Beaches three miles away at Widemouth Bay and Bude. Other smaller coves nearby.
This is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and we are on the main cycle route, The Cornish Way.

THINGS TO DO The world-acclaimed Eden Project is only an hours drive away. The Camel Cycle Trail at Padstow and the Tarka Trail are within easy reach. The Coastal Path affords excellent walking, with superb views over the rugged coastline.
Visit Boscastle, the archetype of Cornish fishing villages with wonderful stonebuilt cottages huddled together round the harbour, Tintagel with its legend of King Arthur and the castle ruin towering over the sheltered haven, Morwenstow, the home of eccentric Parson-Poet R.S. Hawker, his vicarage with its unique chimneypots and his hut looking out to sea from above the cliffs.
There are also Launceston, ancient capital and gateway to Cornwall, Clovelly with its steep cobbled street down to the harbour and Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors.
Bude is well equipped for the keen sports person with golf, tennis, indoor swimming pool, an outdoor sea-splashed pool and sandy beaches. There is also rowing on the Canal and a Cinema at nearby Poundstock.

ACCOMMODATION Pegsdown is a 16th century listed cottage with shipwreck beams and slate floors. There are four bedrooms - two double, one twin with washbasin and a small single. All bedrooms have panel heaters. There is a first-floor shower room with toilet and washbasin and a ground-floor bathroom with washbasin and toilet. Lounge with open fire, colour tv and video. Dining-room with woodburner. The kitchen is fully equipped, all electric, with eye-level cooker, dishwasher, washer / dryer, microwave and fridge-freezer.
Pool table for visitors' use in room beside cottage.
Lawn and rear patio for sunbathing.
Ample parking for three cars.
