Breaks in Cornwall

With three very different areas to choose from, you certainly aren’t going to be left with nothing to do. On the North Coast you’ll find brilliant beaches that offer the best waves available in the United Kingdom. With a huge selection of harbours as well as those beach-side resorts that are perfect for sandcastle building and those all-important summer ice-creams, this is the real hot spot for anyone after a holiday by the beach.

Away from the coast and towards the south of the county you’ll find plenty of small towns, villages and hamlets that are decorated in huge amounts of history and offer the feel of the true English countryside. The windswept Bodmin Moor gives walkers the chance to traverse through some amazing routes and the port towns that enjoy the tranquility of the South Coast. The world-famous Eden Project lies just outside of St Austell and provides an interesting and informative day out for all the family.

In the West of the county you’ll find plenty of wonderful  things to see and do. World-renowned landmarks such as St Michael's Mount and Lands End, the last point on the UK mainland before the Iles of Scilly and New York, means that you won’t be able to go much further without getting a bit wet! A wide selection of small towns and villages that dot the coastline all offer something different from one another and are all worth a visit. With a vast array of wildlife and traditional fishing villages that still work in old-fashioned ways, bringing in their catch to the narrow streets of the harbour for locals and visitors alike to enjoy in any one of the amazing restaurants.

If you’re in it for the sea-side then you might want to head to the likes of Bude and Newquay, or perhaps if you’re looking for something quiet and extremely traditional then you might fancy Polperro with its brilliant fishing history.

Why not take time to visit the amazing castle at Launceston, the brilliant remains of the tin-mining industry at Camborne or the old home of King Arthur in Tintagel, there really is just so much to do! You’re bound to find something of interest to you!
