INTRODUCTION You will receive a warm welcome in our Grade II listed Georgian home, built in 1830. We own the west wing of Ringmore Lodge, with its private drive and parking. We have lovely views overlooking the River Teign estuary, and beyond to the hills of Haldon Moor. Dartmoor can be seen up river, and the town of Teignmouth and the sea to the east.

SITUATION Shaldon is approx 14 miles from the city of Exeter. The A380 dual carriageway some 5 miles from Shaldon, connects with the M5 motorway. The most prominent feature of Shaldon is the Ness headland, this marks the entrance to the estuary of the River Teign, at the eastern end of the village.

THINGS TO DO The area is rich in history, many villagers dress in 18th century costume on '1785 Day' when a craft fair and 'plays' are performed on the village green. In August we have a Water Carnival and a Regatta, where there is a parade of decorated boats, and rowing and sailing races take place in the harbour. Everyone is encouraged to take part. There are daily boat trips up and down the river. Fishing boats may be hired, and we own a traditional sailing boat that we will be delighted if any guests would like to try sailing. We are just a short walk into the quaint village of Shaldon where there are many pubs and restaurants and local shops.

ACCOMMODATION We have a double room ensuite, and a twin bedded room ensuite with lounge area and a connecting twin room - ideal for a family. Both main rooms have colour television and tea / coffee making facilities.

MEALS A full English breakfast may be enjoyed overlooking the River Teign estuary. Vegetarian meals are provided if required. Packed lunches are readily available by arrangement.
