The perfect location for the intrepid explorer, artistic muser or fatigued city-slicker, The Plume of Feathers in Cornwall combines the luxury of a modern getaway with the historic beauty of a 16th Century coaching inn.

Set in the picturesque village of Mitchell, in the heart of the Cornish countryside, The Plume beautifully bridges the gap between a traditional Cornish dining pub and luxury B&B - boasting a soul-warming menu, as well as decadent bedrooms filled with luxury comforts.

The AA4 star rooms are tucked away behind the pub, through an original stone archway in the courtyard; the perfect place to stop enroute for a business meeting, escape away for a weekend, hold a special occasion or to simply stop and feast on locally sourced food in the wonderfully warm restaurant or the light and airy conservatory.

Guests will be treated to a carefully-curated menu made from only the best ingredients, inspired by the land around us.

With its stunning beer garden, you can often find summer guests whiling the day away in the late afternoon sun, relaxing with a good book and enjoying a refreshing drink, surrounded by the scent of local wildflowers and fresh grass.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
