Just a short stroll to the seaside village of Porthtowan which boasts a mermaid pool (outdoor large rock pool/swimming pool) which is visible at low tide, and amenities including a village shop and several places to eat. While exploring the rock pools and following the coast path, look out for the occasional dolphin, seal or basking shark that call these waters home. Head to the village of St Agnes with more beaches, coves and eateries. Watch the sunset at the Beacon with a locally bought takeaway. Once you have finished investigating the local area, venture a little further afield to some of Cornwall’s most popular attractions, which include The Eden Project, Godrevy and St. Ives, all within 20 miles.
Access the lodge via a level pathway onto the side decking area or via steps onto the main decking area, and step into this rustic abode. With an open plan living space, this is a wonderful and well thought out space to catch up with family and friends. The kitchen area is finished to a high standard and equipped with everything you'll need for your holiday, whether its preparing a picnic for the day or cooking up a family meal. Throw a log or two on the wood burner and cosy up after a day walking the nearby South West Coastal Path, or gather at the dining table for an evening of cards. There's a super king-size en-suite bedroom with TV and a twin zip-and-link bedroom (can be made up as a super king-size on request), along with a family bathroom.
Head out onto the glass covered terrace, allowing you to enjoy the hot tub and dine al-fresco whatever the weather. Relax in the private sauna surrounded by the sounds of nature. Facing directly on to woodland, it's great for observing all the incredible wildlife that thrive on your doorstep. The garden area has lots of trees and shrubs planted all around to ensure a high degree of privacy, and the lounge windows face onto the hills in the distance. There's an outside storage cupboard, ideal for all your equipment including wet suits, surfboards and body boards.
