This stunning semi-detached property is perfectly placed just two miles from the coast, has been lovingly fitted in a modern yet sympathetic style and provides a great base for a fun filled family holiday.

If you are looking for a traditional yet contemporary property close to both coast and country, then Apple Cottage is ideal. The delightful 18th century property is one that you will fall in love with the moment you see it. Its traditional stone exterior and gently sloping roof greet you as you arrive, and the character continues inside; there's even a games barn to get the whole family involved in a table tennis match before cream teas on the patio in the morning sunshine.

Exposed stonework and beams dominate the property with huge slate tiles running throughout the lower floor giving it a cool yet cosy feel. Whether enjoying a hearty breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen, having an evening meal in the elegant dining room or chatting in front of the warming wood burner on a chilly night, this cottage is the perfect retreat for the whole family, with mountains of space to spread yourselves out in.

Walk the 2.5 miles down to the majestic cliffs and golden sands of Crackington Beach. The village is also the perfect place to pick up essentials. You can join the South West Coast Path there which leads up to Widemouth Bay or down towards Boscastle. You may prefer to hop in the car to Tintagel Castle, 10 miles away, and then onto the charming fishing port of Port Isaac, just 20 miles from the cottage. Here, you can tread in the footsteps of the popular Doc Martin as this is where the TV series is filmed.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A really nice cottage. The kitchen has every thing you need. Really good showers in the ensuite bathrooms. Could use some instructions for the TV remotes as we struggled with the different systems on it. A nice rear garden for our dog to trot around in and its fully secure.

Best cottage we've ever stayed in in Cornwall. Big spacious rooms, well equipped, great garden and quiet but only 10 minutes from Bude and great beaches.

Beautiful Cottage, very quiet. Location is great for Boscastle/Bude. Facilities are great. Just be aware the lane to Crackington Haven is very narrow!

Beautiful spacious cottage, very tranquil location and well equipped. We loved the quiet location, but any one renting should be aware that you need to drive to everything although there are great beaches, pubs and shops within a 10 minute drive.

We had a great holiday at Apple Cottage. The kitchen had everything we needed & there was a travel cot & high chair in place on our arrival for the baby. The host was great & very welcoming. Really recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the fire and the coziness of the cottage. The beds were very comfortable and warm. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked.

Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
