This property is ideally placed for exploring the whole of Cornwall, whilst enjoying a tranquil retreat. Trebarwith Strand’s pet friendly beach is nearby with a long stretch of golden sands backed by flat rocks. The South West Coast Path is accessed from here, offering wonderful walks with glorious views of the north coast. Also close by is the medieval village of Tintagel where you can visit Tintagel Castle, one of the most spectacular historic sites in Britain and where you can walk over the stunning new 60 meter bridge set between two cliffs, and the picture postcard fishing village of Boscastle. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include stunning Bodmin Moor and numerous National Trust properties and gardens. In addition, and just slightly further afield, are the coastal villages of Port Isaac, where TV’s Doc Martin is filmed, Padstow and Rock are all well worth a visit and a haven for foodies.

Step inside this characterful property with everything conveniently arranged on the one level, with the first area being the cosy and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The cosy living area boasts comfortable sofas placed in front of a warming wood burner and Smart TV, this is a perfect place to sit back and relax after a busy day exploring. The dining area is perfectly placed for a leisurely breakfast or an evening meal. The perfectly appointed kitchen area is brilliantly equipped and offers an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Completing the offering inside the property is a king-size bedroom which has been lovingly fitted and furnished, and finally a bathroom with a bath and WC.

Located outside and directly to the front of the property there is a small patio area with a bench to sit out and enjoy the warm weather, further to this is a large five-acre shared dog-walking paddock with cut paths. A wonderful find of a cottage situated perfectly close to Tintagel but in a secluded position. The cottage was warm,cosy and comfortable. Good WiFi,smart TV and bookshelf with books. Even had a doggie bowl and mat in place. A huge field within the grounds secure for walking your dog. Everything you need there I stayed in winter but I imagine the gaRead morerdens would be lovely to sit in during the summer...Will definitelstsy again.The owners live there too and nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful little cottage very well equipped and really cosy we particularly enjoyed walking around the field for exercising your dog great views from the top. Great location to explore Cornwall, would definitely come back.

Such a lovely location, so quite and beautiful cottage. Very comfortable and clean. Everything you need for a perfect holiday. It was good to have a deep bath that you can just soak in and the bed was very comfortable. The cottage is well positioned for lots of locations to visits. Highly recommended

Lovely cottage in a lovely area. Very safe and large space for dogs. Owners are very friendly and helpful without being too conspicuous. A faulty thermostat on the immersion heater was dealt with on the same day, which was excellent. Cottage very clean and comfortable.

It was the bast holiday cottage we have ever rented. A littlte slice of heaven on earth. We could not fault it. The welcome pack was brilliant with a cream tea, Cornish tea and coffee and other goodies. The bed was very comfortable and the six acre field for walking the dog in was fantastic.

Fantastic cottages within a barn conversion. We stayed in Buttercup which was clean and very comfortable. Great location to explore North Cornwall and beyond! Wonderful to also have access to a field which we used morning and evening with our collie, he didnt want to leave! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back! Thank you.

Fab cottage and great location! We rented all 4 cottages as a family and they were perfect, especially with little ones. Plenty of space to run around safely. Nice welcome hamper too. Would recommend!

My husband and myself stayed in Buttercup at Penpethy holiday cottages, Gareth and Sandy were very welcoming and as they live on site it was easy to solve any problems or ask any questions. We loved the cottage/converted barn it had everything we needed. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Wonderful Buttercup cottage everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The owners are lovely and around if needed. The dog paddock is fabulous and we used it daily for early/late walks. A lovely and very comfortable cottage in a terrace of 4. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The site is very quiet and there is a large field perfect for dogs.. The area is beautiful. The owners who live on site were there if needed but very unobtrusive. Thoroughly recommended.

Set in a lovely location. The cottage owners are welcoming and friendly. The cottages are nicely decorated and very comfortable. Dogs are well catered for with a super paddock to be exercised in. Second visit to these cottages, fantastic time again. Many improvements made from last year, new windows and doors plus new sofas in the cottages. Well maintained all around the grounds, very clean and tidy everywhere. Great base for loads of lovely walks with the dogs. Cardenham woods was about a 45min drive away, but well worth a visit.
