Property code: CONWI

One of two period cottages in this idyllic countryside location. Ideally located for enjoying all that the Lizard Peninsula has to offer.

One of two gorgeous converted barns in an idyllic countryside location, this property is perfect for families looking for a rural escape. Just 8 miles from the lively harbour town of Falmouth, the stone-built cottage is also only 5 miles from kayaking and fishing spots on the Helford River. With spectacular countryside views from both inside and outside the property, you may just find it hard to know where your garden ends and the fields begin.

Start the day with a leisurely breakfast outside on the terrace or in the living and dining area where you can eat at the more formal dining table, an ideal place for an elegant dinner. Settle down afterwards in front of the wood burner, housed in its own little granite fireplace, the perfect spot to come together to share stories about your day.

Discover maritime history in Falmouth with its harbour and museums. Don't miss a visit to Pendennis Castle, a hilltop fortress with great exhibits for children and wonderful estuary views. Take a pleasure boat up the River Fal, or across the harbour to St Mawes. Build a sandcastle and catch up on some sun worship at Gyllyngvase Beach for family fun by the sea. The sub-tropical paradise of Trebah Garden is 4 miles away and the fun Flambards Theme Park is just under 6 miles away for more day tripping.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

In a rural location but with close access to major road this is ideal for dog owners in particular. An enclosed grassed area and access to many acres of grass fields are great for dogs. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Everything worked very well and easily managed. The welcome cream tea was appreciated and the owner frRead moreiendly and helpful. We rate this accommodation highly and have no negative comments. Hide

Perfect for dogs with a large fenced garden area and 3 fields to walk around. Very comfy beds and settee, nice kitchen with all mod cons. Plenty of parking, very peaceful and quiet.

Willow Barn was in all respects excellent for our requirements and located for easy access to much of Cornwall. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the outside space and exploring the neighbouring fields. Highly recommended. Thank you.

The cottage was very comfortable. It had everything we needed. Would definitely go back again with the grandchildren. Just the right size. It was peaceful no traffic noise or aircraft noise.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
