This spacious designer lodge is presented in a Swedish-style and is a real experience for those looking for a Cornish holiday with a difference.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with views over the azure waters of Mount's Bay, Copper Mine Lodge is a Swedish-style hideaway for family holidays with a difference. In a prime position for watching the sun melt into the sea, with a wealth of surprising features to keep everyone entertained come rain or shine, families can kick back here in true Cornish style.

After a refreshing morning dip in the shared heated pool, nature lovers are sure to enjoy a ramble through the lodges' extensive grounds to the nature reserve. In the summer, children can let off steam on the shared playing field, while the grown-ups catch some rays on the decking. Team this with a BBQ feast cooked up in the shared Swedish-style cabin, and you'll be set for the afternoon. As the day draws to an end, cosy up by the roaring wood burner with a traditional board game or chink glasses of bubbly in the hot tub, before drying off in the sauna.

Explore the dramatic coastline of the Lizard Peninsula, perhaps stopping for a cream tea in the sleepy village of Mullion Cove, 17 miles from the lodge. For dramatic holiday snaps, climb to the top of the castle at St Michael's Mount, 12 miles away, where panoramic views can be enjoyed across the bay. There's also a plethora of family-friendly attractions nearby including the Paradise Wildlife Park (9 miles), the Minack Theatre (26 miles), Geevor Mine (25 miles) and Flambards Theme Park (9miles) to name a few.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Nice overall. Property does need some TLC for the price that is charged. The owner was very welcoming . Access is via very narrow single file lanes and you will meet tractors on these lanes. Sat nav takes you to a bridle path which is not car worthy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Copper Mine Lodge. It was an excellent location, really clean and tidy and the owner was really welcoming and has a lovely dog!

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
