Enjoy a traditional farm stay at this charming barn conversion where contemporary interiors combine with a utopian setting for a peaceful and relaxing escape. Set within 267 acres of pasture land on the wild north coast of Cornwall, guests can look forward to lazy mornings gazing across rolling meadows out to sea towards Lundy Island.

Afternoons are for discovering local cliff-top trails, seeking out secret coves and sweeping surfing beaches, followed by evenings cosied around the wood burner.

Directly from the farm, you can enjoy a scenic stroll along wooded lanes through the Marsland Valley, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, and in about 1 mile you will reach a secluded beach which is perfect for a spot of rock pooling. If you prefer to see the beauty of the local area by horseback, there is also a riding stable within 1 mile. The barn was comfortable and clean, well equipped, and the location was beautiful. The garden was great, our 3 labradors, loved it. Was interesting to see the cows being milked.

We had a lovely time in Combe Barn, it was perfectly suited for us (2 adults, 1 toddler and a dog). We loved having a safe enclosed garden that our dog could use. Our toddler fell in love with the chickens, this made it tricky every time we were leaving or arriving as we had to say hello to the chickens. Very well appointed cottage that suited we three elderly people well. Interesting lanes to explore and not too far to walk to the nearest beach if you are reasonably fit. A good central position to drive to best beaches north and south.

In a very quiet location on a working farm but note that it is 1.5 miles from the nearest shop and the village pub. Enclosed garden ideal for dogs. Well equipped and comfortable.

Great little cottage situated on a working farm. With an enclosed garden it was perfect for dogs and children. Accommodation was good, everything we needed and nicely furnished.

This was a holiday for our dog and Combe Barn was one of the best dog friendly cottages we have been to with a secure back garden and an exercise field. Clean and comfortable for us humans too. Lots of lovely walks from the cottage and further afield by car with year round dog friendly beaches owned by the National Trust. A very enjoyable week.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable and was suitable for a disabled person although we didn't need this. The setting being an organic dairy farm was interesting especially seeing the cows being milked. There was also a large barn set up to entertain children which was very good. Although there were other cottages on the same site we had our Read moreown enclosed garden which was nice. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
