This beautifully converted barn promises spacious open-plan accommodation in a fantastic rural location just two miles from the nearest sandy beach.

A beautifully converted barn with spacious open-plan accommodation for six, by a quiet lane in beautiful open countryside, is the perfect base for a family beach and coastal holiday. The barn stands in a complex with three other properties, so extended families or groups can book more than one property to enjoy time together with no juggling or transport worries. The nearest sandy beach, Praa Sands, is just 2 miles away.

Inside the feel is of air and light within strong stone walls. Solid timber beams support the high roof and there are bold splashes of colour in paintings and seating defining the space. Cooking is a communal activity, with kitchen and living areas running together. Bedrooms each have their own feel with ample clothes storage and bright windows looking onto gardens and countryside. Outside, your private garden bounded by stone walls provides a sunny setting for leisurely lunches. Why not buy fresh local fish straight off the boat in Newlyn, then head back for sundowners and a delicious BBQ?

Local attractions include the famous Minack theatre, 18 miles away, and Penzance and Newlyn within 10 miles. The whole family can learn to surf at Praa Sands. Beautiful cottage laid out on one level which makes it accessible for disabled users. The furnishings and equipment were excellent. All in all we could not rate this property highly enough.

We have stayed at Trescowe Barns many times and always had a good holiday. Crofty is comfortable and spacious whilst the open plan layout allows the family to be together at all times. Easy parking is another bonus. It takes less than 5 minutes to access the main road between Helston and Marazion so location is convenient too.

I would highly recommend this accommodation - lovely barn, clean, spacious, modern and in a beautiful location. The Cream tea and fresh flowers were a lovely, welcoming surprise. Would definitely stay there again.

This is superb holiday let, well furnished, equipped, good proportions and clean. The only issue for us was that it was too remote, far away from the sea. The children just wanted the beach and sea and it meant a 2 Mile car drive to get there, otherwise beautiful property.

Second time at Crofty, an amazing property in a lovely rural location, close to beaches and local attractions in the Area. This property has all any family would need for a relaxing stay, we look forward to our next visit.

This was our third visit to the Barns, staying in three out of the four cottages. Croft was our favourite. Beautiful, very peaceful location, but, close to beaches & attractions.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
