This delightful property nestles in an idyllic courtyard location in the grounds of the owners' home, has been lovingly furnished in a contemporary country style, and is perfectly placed just two miles from the coast.

This charming single-storey cottage provides the perfect base for exploring the Atlantic coast and all the treasures that North Cornwall has to offer, including the historic medieval village of Tintagel. And once you’ve finished taking in the sights, returning home to a warming wood burner and a comfortable bed has never felt so good.

Thanks to the convenient open-plan layout of this chocolate-box cottage, everything you need is at your fingertips. Sit back on the sofas in the living area, put your feet up in front of the wood burner and pop the TV/DVD on for maximum relaxation. Preparing a delicious meal is no trouble with the help of the well-equipped kitchen, and the dining table makes a perfect setting to enjoy it. When the evening draws to a close, the cosy king-size bed will guarantee you a good night’s sleep. There is also a handy bathroom with a bath and WC. At the front of the property, a small patio area with a bench is tucked away, and guests can make use of a shared 5-acre paddock.

Undeniably the most exciting feature of the accommodation is its proximity to the famous Tintagel (3 miles), set atop the high cliffs of North Cornwall, and offering breathtaking scenery, intriguing Arthurian legends, and a new 60-metre footbridge connecting the mainland to the island on which the spectacular Tintagel Castle can be found. There’s even a Merlin’s Cave back down on sea level. Other worthwhile destinations include the golden sands and natural caves of Trebarwith Strand beach, just 2.5 miles away, and of course the plethora of traditional Cornish fishing ports, such as Boscastle (5.5 miles) and Port Isaac (9 miles) – where TV’s Doc Martin was filmed!

Lovely cottages in beautiful countryside. Our cottage was warm, well equipped and cosy, away from the hustle and bustle. If you want a place to relax, this is ideal.

We loved our cottage and the setting. It was perfect for us and our puppy. The field at the back was excellent for letting our dog run around and I was able to do a couple of runs in the morning and evenings with our puppy. There was plenty of space for parking. The staffs we met at the beginning and end of our were friendly.

The bed was comfy and the heaters warmed up the cottage in mins when we needed it. The sofas were comfortable. We rated this cottage very highly and will definitely be back.

Gareth and Sandy could not have been more welcoming. Cottage was very clean. The meadow behind was brilliant for walking the dogs. Lovely rural area, a really lovely environment for a weeks holiday! 1/2 mile from the Tintagel brewery, whats not to like?

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
