This beautiful farmhouse has been owned by the same family for generations, has been lovingly decorated in a contemporary country style, and is perfectly placed just two miles from the coast.

Step back in time with a stay in this large, traditional stone farmhouse. Sized for larger families and groups, there's plenty of shared space, including two lounges with wood fires, and a conservatory. There's even a private hot-tub with a view! It's a rural haven within 2 miles of Morwenstow village in the Hartland Heritage Coast area, and only 9 miles from charming Bude town on the North Cornish Coast: just the place for seaside holidaying.

The farmhouse stands by a quiet lane in a well-planted garden with extensive shared lawn space for children and dogs to play, and outdoor private seating for leisurely al fresco lunches. The country-style decor is thoughtful throughout: fresh summery colours, interesting vintage and antique furniture, cosy rugs, and natural materials including stone-flagged hallway and polished floorboards. Details in the bedrooms add rustic grandeur, such as wrought-iron bedsteads and gilded mirrors. Pack a picnic in the farmhouse-style kitchen before heading out for the day with the whole family.

Ideally placed on the edge of the Hartland Heritage Coast area, which spans the Cornwall/Devon border, it's close to breathtaking clifftop walking country along the South West Coast Path. Your nearest beach is Duckpool bay at just over 3 miles away. Bude has sandy Summerleaze beach, the Splash Pool, and a choice of shops and pubs. Visit Boscastle village 24 miles along the coast, or romantic Arthurian Tintagel 3 miles beyond. For more rugged walking, visit wild and inspiring Bodmin Moor which starts 22 miles to the east. Locally in Morwenstow, there's a welcoming pub and tea room.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
