Explore some of Cornwall’s most-loved landmarks from this luxurious hideaway, including Land’s End, the Minack Theatre, and St Ives (all within 17 miles). The accommodation is arranged on one level and boasts magnificent panoramic views across the rugged Cornish landscape. Stride out along the footpath to join the dramatic South West Coast Path and return to the cottage for a sundowner on your private terrace. Alternatively, head into Sennen, 3 miles, for a drink in the traditional village pub. The semi-detached cottage has been impeccably finished and has a bright, open-plan layout. Neutral decor acts as a backdrop to plush soft furnishings, with flashes of yellow adding a sense of style and tying each area together. On a summer’s day, throw open the patio doors to let the outside in and enjoy a quiet coffee at the dining table or curl up on the sofa with a newspaper. Enjoy lazy mornings in bed in the super-king-size bedroom, which has a Smart TV so you can catch up on all your favourite programmes. Outside, there’s a delightful patio with a BBQ so you can dine alfresco whilst soaking up a bit of Cornish sunshine. Follow the footpath to the coast to explore this particularly jaw-dropping section of the South West Coast Path, which leads you to the idyllic Sennen Cove as well as Land’s End (5 miles). Beautiful Porthcurno (7 miles) really is one for the itinerary. Here, you’ll be treated to white sands and turquoise waters, as well as the stunning Minack Theatre which is carved into the cliffs above the beach. For quintessential Cornish charm, head to St Ives (17 miles). The vibrant fishing village is bursting with quirky eateries and art galleries and also has four golden, sandy beaches, as well as a picturesque harbour.

We were welcomed at the cottage on our arrival by the owners Wendy & Pete, who are lovely people. The cottage is of a high standard with everything new, well equipped and warm. There was a welcome pack which was a nice gesture, as well as a local ordinance map to help us find our way around. Dove Cottage is central to a number of places worth visitRead moreing, St Ives via the coast road, Sennen Cove, St Michaels Mount, etc. Highly recommended. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
