Property code: 78216

A fabulous property which has been stylishly furnished throughout, located just a short drive from the golden sandy beaches of Widemouth Bay and Bude.

Nestled in a beautiful rural setting, this gorgeous barn conversion offers families/friends the opportunity to relax in style and comfort. Close to the county border, you have the best of North Cornwall and North Devon on offer, so you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to planning your next adventure. There’s an abundance of natural beauty on offer, with countryside strolls, days on the beach or walks along the dramatic coastline to enjoy, all against a breathtaking backdrop of sea views or lush green countryside.

Sympathetically renovated with the modern visitor in mind, this light and airy property has a wonderful blend of space, style and country charm. Careful attention to detail throughout ensures you will have a relaxing stay. The reverse-level layout means the three king-size bedrooms are on the ground floor along with the bathroom and utility room. Heading upstairs, you’ll find the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling adding to the sense of light and space. Here, you can all spend quality time together whether you’re relaxing, cooking or dining. French doors lead down to the private, enclosed garden with its far-reaching views of the countryside – the perfect spot for some al fresco dining.

Despite the barn’s secluded rural location, the delightful coastal town of Bude is only 6 miles away. Here you can boat along the canal, relax on the beaches, enjoy clifftop walks and visit its range of independent shops/cafes. Or you could head to the quieter beaches of Widemouth Bay and Sandymouth Bay (within 10 miles), which are connected by the South West Coast Path via other secret coves. Tintagel is 20 miles away and affords stunning sea views from its spectacular footbridge while uncovering some truths about the legend of King Arthur.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The decor and finish of the barn is to a very high standard. Its an upside down lay out so to sit out side you need to go down the external stairs. Lovely big garden swing. This was a wonderful holiday let. A really thoughtfully presented and well-equipped home. One slight issue, and I realise it is because of the covid measures in place, was the echoey nature of the large open plan kitchen/living/dining room. With most of the soft furnishings removed the TV was quite hard to watch at a comfort volume. We had a reallyRead more lovely stay though. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
