All in all this was an excellent property, easy to find and within short access to many of southern Cornwalls best features. Heating, especially in the early part of the year was very efficient. Equipment was very good, bed very comfy and seating welcoming after a long day out. Recommend Rick Steins Fish restaurant in Falmouth ( the Fizz & Chips waRead mores delicious and not too expensive ). Go to the Chacewater Garden Centre for good plants, gifts and food in the Cafe. Fernsplatt Lodge was so comfortable, it was like being at home for the week, only a bit better. Really great location in West Cornwall, set in the country side, close to both coasts, several towns and attractions. Even though it was February and rained a lot we had a really relaxing break.

Very well appointed, with all you could need. Large supply of leaflets and brochures for local attractions. A bottle of bubbly waiting for us when we arrived - a nice touch. Beware there is a fairly steep straight staircase to access this first floor apartment. Catches the evening sun. Very peaceful, almost no traffic noise.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
