Stylish and spacious barn conversion situated on a tranquil farm close to Polperro near Looe. With on-site leisure facilities and a child’s playground this is a superb choice for families.

Imagine waking up in your very own country cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside and within a mile of the sea. Four Seasons is one of five carefully converted historic buildings which provide comfortable, family accommodation in an enviable location on the South Cornwall coast. After a sunny breakfast on the patio, get stuck into ball games such as tennis and badminton or take a walk around the shared grounds and get to know the resident chickens.

This property combines comfortable, contemporary interiors with practical areas, essential for country and coastal living, such as a spacious hallway for storing muddy wellingtons or beach paraphernalia. The open-plan living space is cleverly designed to suit a variety of moods and uses. Whilst the vaulted ceilings and French doors leading out onto the patio make for bright and airy summer living, the cosy sofas and gas fire embrace a family night in with a favourite DVD - or even a sing-song around the piano, should you be musically inclined. Beyond the private enclosed garden, the shared grounds extend further, providing ample space to let off steam.

Just under a mile away is the pretty fishing village of Polperro with its tidal sea pool for rockpooling and plenty of small shops and cafes to explore. Looe, another historic fishing port, is 4 miles away but has a larger, sandy beach and opportunities to visit Looe Island, a marine nature reserve with a resident seal colony. The indoor rainforest at The Eden Project is also less than a 20-mile drive.

Nice welcome from the owners, and they were helpful throughout our stay. The well decorated and spacious cottage is 20mins walk away from Polperro (nice walk through fields to road then down steep hill) - a great little tourist location. Nearby is Talland Bay, with up-market cafe and safe beach/rocks. The cottage was well appointed with equipment aRead morevailable that you'd expect for the money. Good central heating kept the place warm. The location away from seaside wasn't an issue at all. Hide

A lovely, well equipped, converted barn in a rural area. Open plan lounge and kitchen. Sometimes patchy WiFi but we got by. Beautiful views and sunsets over the hills. 20 mins downhill walk to a stunning fishing village Polperro. Very welcoming owners.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
