A comfortable and cosy cottage lovingly decorated, yet still keeping many of its original features. It is tucked away in the heart of the village and is ideally located to the beach, ferry and pubs.

Situated slightly back from the quaint harbour of Polruan with its traditional village store and tea room, Hart Cottage is ideally placed to enjoy a quiet seaside holiday. In the centre of the village, you are within walking distance of the river, peppered with pretty fishing boats, and the coast is under a mile away. Have a leisurely breakfast in the garden, the traditional stone cottage making the perfect backdrop, and plan the adventures of the day ahead.

The cottage is furnished in a cool contemporary style with subtle blue and grey tones running throughout. Nautical touches provide a coastal feel and a bright yellow kitchen gives a burst of sunshine at any time of the day. The original fireplace with wood burner invites you to warm your hands on a cold winter's day while waiting for all the family to gather around the farmhouse-style table for a hearty meal.

Just a mile and a half from the property is the beautiful beach and nature reserve of Lantic Bay. Either walk the coastal path, taking in the breathtaking views as you go, or hop in the car. Visit the deep natural harbour of Fowey, easily accessed by passenger ferry from Polruan. Polperro (6 miles) and Looe (27 miles) are also popular choices for day trips, boasting pretty waterside views and quirky shops. The beautiful capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral is 40 miles away and the fascinating Eden Project can be reached in under 15 miles.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Cottage absolutely beautiful with added bonus of logs being included for the fire and multifuel stove in the kitchen. Very comfortable bed in the master bedroom, lovely spacious second bedroom. There is a free car park at the very top of the village but we found it well worth the 25 to be slightly closer to the cottage. Hide

Love the kitchen area, great family space for reading, cooking listening to music and chatting. Property is lovely and warm which I love on cold nights. Great views, good local walks, two lovely pubs though we spend more time in the Russell. We love Hart cottage and Polruan. Always sad when its time to leave!

Hart Cottage is situated up from Polruan Quay by way of some steps. It is a very comfortable cottage, more like a house as it has plenty of space. A stunning cottage, close to Polruan Harbour. The two upper floors are very comfortable and the heating is responsive and easy to use. The ground floor kitchen-diner is nice, I should imagine its very cosy with the solid fuel stove lit. The kitchen is well-equipped, with washing machine and dishwasher.
