A wonderful renovated barn conversation with wood burner, enjoy shared used of the heated indoor endless pool and sauna. For day trips try Fowey, Looe, Polperro and Mevagissey.

Nothing says a relaxed break quite like a dip in the pool or a trip to the sauna - and at Linden, you'll enjoy both. The beautiful barn conversion, located in Golant on the picturesque upper reaches of the Fowey River, enjoys shared access to the facilities, which includes a games room, providing a fun family break in the Cornish countryside.

With a nod to its roots, the barn retains its character with exposed beams and wooden finishes throughout. It has been tastefully decorated in neutral colours, with added splashes of colour to provide a slightly contemporary and homely edge that perfectly reflects today's Cornish culture. The open-plan living space is light and airy by day, but at night turns into a cosy cottage once the wood burner is fired up.

Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream, before heading on day trips to the likes of Fowey (4 miles), Mevagissey (13 miles) and Looe and Polperro just over 20 miles each - all offering their own unique charm and attractions. For lunch with a view, head to Charlestown (6 miles), which was featured in the Poldark television series; delicious steak and seafood is a hit with tourists and locals alike. Afterwards, spend the afternoon exploring its quaint quay in the sunshine, perhaps with an ice cream.

Reflected in the ratings given. The property is one of about half a dozen around a farm yard. The only animals we saw were a couple of the owners' dogs and there were no off-putting farmyard smells. Peaceful and comfortable accommodation near Fowey. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Dogs are very welcome. The facilities are small but we'll kept and the pool was enjoyed several times. I would certainly go back.

We had a very comfortable stay. The cottage was very clean, the heating was fine, and we could boost it in the evening by putting on the log burner, which was a very nice feature. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom nice and modern, and the kitchen very well equipped. There isn't a garden as such, but the gate could be shut to give a small path aRead morerea for my dogs to nip out for an evening wee! The sauna was lovely and hot, and the circular walk from the cottage was very pleasant. Hide

Great accommodation and great hosts. We had 3 of the cottages and were able to freely go to one and other without issue. The facilities were great for the kids and the on-site bar was a nice touch. Had a Mamma Mia-esque feel to the place. Good location for travelling around Cornwall too. Highly recommend. Very dog friendly too.

The cottage is an excellent place for a holiday and highly recommended, very well equipped, modern and clean. Great location, in a quiet lane. Ideally we would have stayed two weeks. There is a pub nearby serving food and good beer with great river views, it takes around 20 minutes to walk there but the walk back is double due to the very steep roaRead mored. We played table tennis, the other facilities looked good but we didn't use them. In nearby Golant we fished from the riverbank and went kayaking. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
