One of three former barn conversions situated on a tranquil 140-acre arable farm estate on the outskirts of Hayle. The perfect retreat for couples to get away from it all.

Ease your troubles away at this tranquil farmland retreat, in your own attractive barn conversion situated alongside two similar properties set within 140 acres of land. Just three miles to the north-west of the property, the spectacular sandy beaches of St Ives Bay stretch for over three miles from Hayle to Godrevy, ensuring that there is always a quiet spot for sunbathing, paddling, swimming, surfing, or even sand yachting.

Pulling into the long, private driveway, guests will immediately feel themselves relax as the bustling noise of everyday life melts away and is replaced with the peaceful tranquillity of farm life. The single-storey barn conversion boasts plenty of space to relax, both in the open-plan living space and outside on the private patio and in the shared garden, where children can safely play to their heart's content on the slide, swings, and climbing tower.

Being able to pop to the beach for the day, or for just an hour, is one of the joys of staying at Little Riviere, which lies just three miles from the seaside town of Hayle on the picturesque St Ives Bay. Should you fancy a break from the endless golden sands, head into St Ives itself, 6.5 miles from the cottage, and a delightful place to spend the day browsing the boutiques, taking in the latest exhibition at the Tate St Ives, and finishing with dinner in one of the town's many restaurants, bistros, and cafes.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Little Riviere is a beautiful cottage and we had a lovely welcome of scones, clotted cream and jam waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage has all the amenities you could need (washer/dryer/dishwasher/internet, etc), it's nicely decorated and very clean. There is a nice play area for children and lots of space for them to run around in. It's a Read moreshort drive to Lidl or Asda for any essentials. Not far from Carbis Bay (which we'd recommend visiting) and easy enough to get to St Ives etc. Hide

Always great staying here, not far from the A30 but quiet, pitch black at night and despite being one of three properties, they are well arranged that you feel on you're own.

Having been to the same area before, this property cannot be better located and was nice and quiet on the farm site. The property itself was very clean and tidy with everything you need. Very handy having a washer/dryer too. Was also nice to have the little set of slide and swings for our 18 month old.

Very quiet and relaxed location. Good access to a number of Cornwalls beaches. Park is excellent for the children

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
