This spacious semi-detached family home nestles in a quiet spot and offers guests a relaxing and comfortable base from which to explore, with fantastic transport links. Relax by the open fire or enjoy the large garden or patio area for a night of alfresco dining.

This spacious, beautifully-arranged holiday property beside a quiet lane 1 mile from Liskeard centre is a fabulous base for exploring the varied attractions of Southeast Cornwall. Take your pick of great Cornish beaches or pretty villages, cheerful bucket-and-spade days or clifftop walks to wilder, secluded coves. Dogs are welcome - they'll delight in the great walking country hereabouts.

Semi-detached and solidly built, it's been cleverly extended with a wood-beamed sloping glass ceiling, creating a light-filled kitchen/dining room, the social heart of the house. Overall, it's bright and comfortable, with selected mid-century furniture items and subtle colours. For quieter moments or cosy evenings in, head to either comfy living room. Outdoors, indulge in leisurely sunny-morning breakfasts in the sheltered Mediterranean-style patio, dine alfresco with a BBQ on the main garden's decked area, or wander by well-planted borders beyond.

For traditional seaside visiting, with speciality shops, delicious local produce, wide dining choices and the famous town beach, Looe is just 8 miles to the south. For a quieter, dog-friendly beach, Talland within 8 miles along winding, hedge-banked lanes is perfect, and there's a good cafe too. Walkers in search of grand sweeping views don't have far to go, either on the South West Coast Path or on Bodmin Moor with famous Golitha Falls within 6 miles. Liskeard has good shopping, and on the way there's a hidden local treasure - Moyclare Cornish Garden 600m up the lane.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect location to explore both the South and North Coast of Cornwall. The cottage was warm and cosy, but had lots of space. There was a nice mix of modern and traditional features. We visited in the Autumn, but the garden looked as if it would have been perfect for summer BBQ's or just relaxing in the evening. The cottage was well equipped and fuRead morernished to a good standard. It felt homely, with lots of personal touches, rather than bland and boring. Plenty of good dog friendly pubs nearby. Hide

Plenty of space for the two of us and the dog, lovely quiet home just a very short drive from all the amenities at Liskeard, but a totally rural location. Lovely well equipped house in a good central position to visit both north and south coasts. Just a little alert for dog owners to supervise their dogs well in the garden. I always checked the gate before opening the back door as it is used by other people. We loved our stay there and would like to return.

Could not fault in any way. It was lovely. Points worth noting for other dog owners: the garden is not secure and the lane outside is typical Cornish, very narrow, so walking from the front door takes courage!

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
