Located in Gollant a sought after village popular with locals and visitors, on the picturesque upper reaches of the Fowey River. Immerse yourself in village life, vibrant at times although at an altogether slower pace. Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream. Visit the impressive Restormel Castle and the harbour towns of Fowey and Charlestown. Just a stones’ throw away is Fowey, boasting some fine restaurants and individual boutiques. Slightly further afield is Charlestown featured in the Poldark series, a perfect place to enjoy lunch or relax on the quay. Attractions in the area include The Eden Project, The Ship Wreck Centre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Poldark Mine, St Michaels Mount and National Trust properties including nearby Lanhydrock house.

Enter into the warm and welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner of this former threshing barn, this open-plan space forms the central hub of the property and it's the perfect place to either gather for that pre-meal chit chat or relax after days adventures and watch your favourite programme on the TV. The kitchen area is fully equipped and is just perfect for all your holiday home cooking requirements, comprising of electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. From this central lounge/kitchen/dining area stairs lead down to the three bedrooms and bathrooms. Bedroom one the master suite king-size with en-suite shower room, TV/DVD and WC, bedroom two a twin and bedroom three a further twin with en-suite shower room and WC. All bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and offer much character with exposed, ancient wooden beams that continue the theme running throughout. Also located on this floor is the bathroom, with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside, enjoy shared use the heated indoor endless pool and sauna, the shared games room with pool table, the private hot tub or relax in the enclosed patio area with BBQ and garden furniture. For the more sociable families there is a bar on-site cleverly created from an old Silo, with outdoor seating. Open every Friday from March to October, for drinks and food. Additionally there is occasional live entertainment to which guests will be welcomed with free entry. There is off-road parking for two cars.

We love this place! Plentiful hot water; lush hot tub; sauna and pool. It's quiet and we were left alone to enjoy our holiday. Love the ' green' ethos and the very comfy beds. Our dog really appreciated being able to run round the field first thing and we all enjoyed walks to the pub, church and that we could catch the bus to Fowey from the top of Read morethe road. Highly recommend Sunday lunch at the Fisherman's Arms; Par Beach coffee van and Bodmin Jail. Went to church and received a warm welcome. Hide

A lovely place to stay in a wonderful location. The cottage has all you need and very spacious. The playground was a much needed distraction for our little one and having the swimming pool made for a lovely morning swim. The silo bar was fabulous with the Gospel Choir.

This exceeded all our expectations! A wonderful retreat for our family of six adults; one toddler and three dogs. A plethora of toys and books in the lounge was such a welcome for the little one! The everlasting pool; hot tub; barbeque; pool room and play park were all used extensively and such a plethora of add ons. The perfect place to use as a sRead morepringboard to Cornwall. Fantastic holiday home, with facilities usually only experienced when you are booking whole place to yourself ! Airy, well laid out living space, bedrooms downstairs cool in the heat. Cottage was excellent and well equipped. We loved the courtyard and hot tub The other facilities (swimming pool, sauna and pool table) were great and used every day. Would highly recommend the cottage.

We had a lovely family stay during Christmas 2022. We where treated with a bottle of fizz and a box of chocolates by our host which was a lovely touch. We where also lucky enough to be there for a night out at the silo bar with live music which was a great added bonus. Location is lovely and an easy base for getting out and about to local attractioRead morens, beaches and dog walks. The accommodation is fabulous and we couldn't have asked for more. Really well thought out cottage. Plenty of room for 3 couples. Facilities i.e. hot tub, sauna, pool, outside the cottage were great. Joining in at Bar Silo was great fun! So peaceful and relaxing.

Wonderful accommodation, very welcoming and has everything you could possibly need! The garden is super private with a hot tub and access to the sauna and pool couldn't have been better. Very close to Bodmin and the Eden project for great days out. If you are there on a bar silo night - you are in for a treat!

A beautiful area, and lovely property with lots of equipment provided. A 25minute walk to the only pub in Golant, nice food picturesque and a very steep walk back! Bar Silo was good only open on one evening .

Cottage was fantastic. Very large and very well appointed. Best we have ever stayed in. The courtyard garden provides great privacy and hot tub was added bonus. The cottage is upside down and walls are very thick so even in the heat it was cool. Can't fault the accommodation

The cottage is very nice, the new floor hasn't helped the noise when you are downstairs and others are upstairs. Hot water was very intermittent and one of the showers stopped working after three days, there were cigarette ends on ground outside the front door (none of us smoke so this was from the previous guests) which was a little unsightly.
