No need to choose between Cornish countryside and coastline as both are easily accessible from this perfectly positioned property for three. This sought-after area of south-west Cornwall boasts white sandy beaches, picturesque fishing towns, historic houses and scenic footpaths, making it an excellent choice for romantic getaways or memorable family holidays. When you’re not tucking into a hearty meal in the local pub, just 50 metres from the front door, cosy up beside your roaring wood burner or fire up the BBQ in the enclosed terrace and spend an evening under the stars.

The kitchen/diner is a wonderfully sociable space for entertaining with family or friends, with its cleverly designed central island with gas hobs overlooking the dining table beyond. On the first floor, two clean and fresh bedrooms share a stylish tiled bathroom – the perfect place to soothe tired muscles after long walks along the coastal path. Meanwhile, on the top floor, the lounge is a fantastic space for relaxing with loved ones, with its vaulted ceiling, wood burner and inviting L-shaped sofa. When the sun is shining, however, there’s no better place to relax with a good book than in one of the two enclosed patio terraces.

A haven for walkers, set out on foot to join the scenic South West Coast Path at Rinsey (1 mile), heading east towards the picturesque fishing town of Porthleven (3.5 miles) and west towards the golden Praa Sands (2 miles) – a popular destination for families. Heading inland, the National Trust’s Godolphin is just 3 miles away, with its beautifully maintained gardens, tearoom and barefoot trail for young explorers. More great days out can be shared at Flambards Theme Park (5 miles), St Michael’s Mount (5.5 miles) and St Ives (14 miles).

Perfect location for a week in the South of Cornwall - easy to find just off of the main road but still cosy and quiet. Conveniently close to the pub! Bed and lounge sofas were both very comfortable after a day walking round the local towns, the bathroom has a powerful shower and a big bath. Kitchen had everything we needed and is very well thoughtRead more out with lots of nice little touches throughout the apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and very welcoming. Thanks for our stay! Hide

A very lovely stay at New Barn. The cottage is very clean and well kept with enough space for a family of 3. Its ideal location means there is a choice of beautiful coastal walks, town visits or beach days! We would highly recommend a stay at New Barn for a Cornwall holiday!

Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
