One of five attractive barn conversions in this farmland location, just a mile away from the pretty village of Polperro.

Cornwall is well-known for its agricultural heritage, stunning countryside and peaceful, rural locations, and Over The Hill has all of these, in abundance. Situated in a tranquil hillside location only a mile from the picturesque fishing village of Polperro, this property would make a great getaway for couples or small families (using the additional futon bed) looking to relax and unwind.

The traditional stone exterior gives the property a strong connection with its agricultural past and rural location. Inside the property, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room on the first floor is spacious and light with its high ceilings and exposed beams. However, once evening falls and the wood burner is lit, the property will instantly feel warm and cosy. Over The Hill is surrounded by farmland, and guests are free to wander the grounds, taking in the play area with swings and a see-saw, a games area with nets for tennis, badminton and football, and the wildlife pond. Immerse yourself in the country life by feeding the chickens and ducks while you're there too.

A short country walk across the owner's fields leads you to Polperro, a popular fishing village with typically narrow streets and a stunning harbour with clear sea and rocky outcrops. Looe is only 5 miles away, another pretty fishing town with a range of shops and eateries to explore and delve into. From here, you can also enjoy a boat ride across to Looe island and appreciate the beauty of the South Cornish coastline from another perspective.

Lovely comfortable cottage. Well equipped. Very quiet location. Narrow country roads to and from but are very quiet of traffic that it wasn't a problem.

Clean, spacious and well maintained. It was very quiet and relaxing and was in a good central point for a number of places to visit along the coast both ways.

The accomodation was very comfortable / well equipped. Parking outside the door. There is seating out front which we used in evening to watch the birds flying around while enjoying a beer. Very quiet position, views to the sea. The cottage had character and was a nice place to rekax in even if the weather was inclement

This cottage is one of my favourites, it's open and light and airy but still manages to feel cosy and warm, the log fire is a must if its cold enough. The whole cottage was clean and tidy and the bed is nice and huge. It is a short drive in to Polperro, which is a jem in itself. If nothing else watching the cows each morning will make you smile.

A beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting, ideal to unwind and relax. It was comfortable and the wifi was good. We had some wonderful days, there is so much to see in this area. You need to be fairly fit to walk as the hills are very steep. The owners are friendly and will give advice on places to eat and visit.

The location is fantastic, overlooking rolling fields to the sea. While Polperro is only a mile or so away, its a steep downhill so not easy walking unless youre fit. The owner is charming and helpful, but obviously conscious most people just want to get on with their holiday and so skilfully background. Super place and super area.
