This beautiful property has been sensitively converted from a range of four former barns to retain its charming character whilst providing stylish and contemporary accommodation. Its location in the southerly reaches of England's most western county ensures plenty of choice for guests. Or you may just prefer to fling open the French doors and light the BBQ on the private, patio area. At the end of all this, the super-king-size bed awaits – stretch out and dream of the adventures ahead.

For some of you, this might mean a day spent exploring the local town of Hale, under 3 miles distant with its range of shops and cafes where you can try out some of Cornwall's foodie specialities such as the well-loved pasty, steaming from the oven. Alternatively, you may wish to travel to St Ives, within a 7-mile drive of your base, where you can seek out cultural treasures such as Tate Gallery, meander through narrow streets window shopping or simply watch the world go by in one of its beachside cafes.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Phillack is very well appointed, comfortable and easy to live in. The location is ideal for visiting either coast and the area west of Penzance. In short we loved it there. Unfortunately the week we wanted is booked for next year and we can quite understand why.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
