A spectacular Atlantic coastal location on the stunning Hartland peninsula in North Devon, with direct access to breath-taking unspoilt views, coastal walks and secluded beaches. This sweet retreat is part of our exclusive collection with Joules and has been beautifully styled with touches of their signature style throughout. Hand-picked additions such as bedding and crockery add to the already enticing interior.

Hartland peninsula is ideal for those who enjoy country walks, as there are miles of walks available direct from the property, including access to the South West Coastal Path, with its cliff top views. There is a secluded beach just a mile walk from the property, however if you want to enjoy a traditional day at the beach, with soft sand and a range of facilities, the beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are both within fifteen miles of the property. Although the property feels remote, the charming village of Hartland is a short drive away, offering a range of shops, eateries, pubs and galleries.

This former detached granary is now a stylish petite bolthole for those who want to get away from it all with uninterrupted spectacular sea views from the seating area. The entrance is to one side of the owner's walled courtyard garden and the family farmhouse is the other, a warm welcome awaits yet privacy is assured. Step down into the open-plan retreat, light the wood burner, and settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the TV/DVD. Thick stone walls and original grain store windows give a wonderful sense of tranquillity whilst the double height of the living space creates space and light. The little kitchen is cleverly fitted at one end of the living space with an electric oven and a two ring hob, fridge/freezer and Lavazza coffee machine. Perfect for cooking a lazy breakfast in bed, or a light supper. Climb the spiral staircase to the driftwood double bed on the mezzanine level under the eaves, please be careful of the low sloping ceilings within this room, which is all part of the charm and character of this cottage. Sleep tight with your faces glowing from a day in the salty sea air down at the local cove which you may even have all to yourselves! The bathroom can be found on the ground floor and has a beautiful freestanding roll top bath, with hand-held shower, atmospheric room lighting and a WC.

Your outside seating area is around to the far side of the cottage where you can enjoy the spectacular sea views, it is a perfect place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining or cuddle up under a blanket whilst watching the sun go down. There is also a small, yet sheltered area to the front of the cottage too. The parking area is directly by the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
