Nestled amongst cottages yet a short stroll from the picturesque harbour and delights of Mousehole, this cottage is a perfect family or couple's retreat and base for exploring West Cornwall.

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet in the heart of this charming fishing village of Mousehole, this is a great base for exploring one of Cornwall's hidden gems. The village's fishing heritage dates back to 1266 and the tightly knitted streets are full of local granite-built cottages. Mousehole was also believed to be the home of the last person to speak only the Cornish language and her house is celebrated with a plaque. The location is perfect for a stroll to a host of pubs, galleries, restaurants and shops, or as a base for touring Cornwall's breathtaking landscape, beaches and historic sites. There are also some fantastic walks to be had with the scenic South West Coast Path on your doorstep, as well as attractions such as Land's End, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno, Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount and numerous beautiful National Trust properties. Although it is steeped in its rural past, the cottage is also equipped with many modern comforts throughout.

You enter through the front door into a wonderful open-plan lounge/diner which is cosy yet spacious enough for all the family. Light the wood burner and enjoy your favourite book curled up on one of the comfy sofas or watch a film on the Smart TV. Enjoy a family meal around the dining table after a day exploring your surroundings. Take two steps up into the kitchen where you'll find an electric Rangemaster cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washer/dryer, so cook up the freshly caught fish from nearby Newlyn and enjoy a taste of the West Country! A stable door opens onto the terrace. Another door leads to the ground-floor bathroom with bath, shower attachment and WC. Some quite narrow, cottage-style stairs lead you up to the bedrooms and further shower room with WC. The charm continues with deep sills and exposed beams. The double and twin bedrooms have wardrobes and rooftop views across to the sea, while an additional single bedroom has plenty of space and overlooks the rear terrace.

Head outside to the private rear courtyard with seating, BBQ and storage area. Steps lead up to a fabulous decking area with rooftop views out to sea, so sit back, dine alfresco and enjoy! Pay and display parking is found nearby.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful village. We booked it as a surprise for my wife's birthday and it was perfect for us with our young adult son and daughter. Just a stroll to the harbour with its pub and restaurants and a lovely walk along the coast path to Newlyn and Penzance. Very well equipped, spacious and a great deck with sea views. The cottage was clean, cosy and really well appointed. We loved staying at Rolling Surf. We loved the deck and sea views of Mousehole. We loved the art of the walls and the tasteful Denby crockery. We were very sad to leave. Thank you

The cottage was brilliant, very spacious and equipped to a very high standard. We really enjoyed staying there. Plenty of crockery and cutlery and comfy sofas! 3 good sized bedrooms and the decking area is great. There are several parking options. Free road parking on The Parade is only 6 mins walk away. lovely cottage, would book again parking was tricky as car parks full on arrival Friday evening. That said Mousehole is a great place to stay and visit. would advise to get supplies before arrival as no local stores apart from small deli.

A lovely cottage in the heart of the village, really close to the harbour. The house had everything we needed, including cooking utensils. Ample hot water. The harbour is a good place for a morning or evening swim. Parking is a pain, but the simplest thing is to park on the coast road heading towards Newlyn.

We loved the cottage and found it very comfortable. We have stayed in eight different cottages over the last twenty plus years. We would like to return to your cottage next year.

It is a beautiful, comfortable and homely cottage with character and the terrace was a bonus. It is well equipped with good quality fittings. We will stay there again if we have the chance. The parking was a bit inconvenient but that is to be expected in Cornwall. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
