Couple’s retreat on well-appointed leisure park, close to the attractive harbour town of Looe with its busy fishing port and family-friendly beach.

Retreat Cottage nestles in a courtyard among similar stone cottages just 1.5 miles from the attractive Cornish fishing town of Looe. Take a coffee to the shared balcony area with its views of the sea and the beautiful coastline and plan your trips and activities - maybe including a boat trip out to Looe Island, visible from your vantage point, to watch grey seals play in the sea and rest on the rocks.

This is a compact but brilliantly set out cottage for one or two people. Your cosy kitchen diner means you can whip up your breakfast while getting organised for the day. Or take a more leisurely approach, reading a newspaper or a good book sprawled across the comfy leather sofa. In the evening, choose between preparing your own meal or dining at one of the many pubs and restaurants to be found in Looe (1.5 miles), Polperro (6 miles) or Fowey (25 miles). You also have the added benefit of onsite facilities such as an indoor heated swimming pool, play park, games room, shop and a fishing lake.

Spend a day at The Eden Project (24 miles). This is fun, educational and will fill a happy, leisurely day, with its exhibitions of entire ecosystems under the iconic bio-domes, outdoor walks, shops, restaurants, snack bars and bars. The Lost Gardens of Heligan (32 miles) also provides some great scenic walks and some unusual and surprising natural features. A beach day is only 2 miles away, at Millendreath.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A lovely comfortable cottage in a great location. It felt like home from home. We had to buy a sieve and weighing scales and we should have brought dish cloths, but everything else was there. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again

What a gorgeous setting! Stunning views, fantastic facilities, and beautiful flowers around the site. The staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, phoning to say our cottage was ready early so we could check in! A perfect first holiday with our baby! Thanks so much, I'm sure we'll be back!

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
