This former quarryman's cottage offers comfortable accommodation and is the perfect base from which to explore the North Cornwall coast.

Perfectly situated to give you access to the best that southern Cornwall has to offer, Seagull Cottage nestles amongst similar, former quarrymen's cottages. With an inn and restaurant at the end of the terrace, you don't have far to go to enjoy a drink or a meal at the end of a busy day exploring Cornwall's golden coastline. If you want to venture a little further, you could dine in one of Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurants in Padstow (4 miles).

Inside the cottage, enjoy your breakfast in the bright, airy diner, prepared in the well-equipped, modern kitchen. Take your coffee into the lounge area and relax on the comfortable leather chairs while you plan your day. One of the joys of this setting is that you can walk or cycle from the cottage along coastal paths on the Camel Trail, along the banks of the Camel river and estuary. After all that exercise, you can come home to the joy of the wood burner, or enjoy the restful lounge and inviting bedrooms as you unwind.

You are ideally placed to enjoy some of Cornwall's iconic landmarks, such as The Eden Project (19 miles). This will fill a leisurely day, with its exhibitions of entire ecosystems under the iconic bio-domes, outdoor walks, shops, restaurants, and bars. The cottage was absolutely lovely and did not feel that the photos did justice. Our kids made friends with others also on holiday at the cottages which kept them entertained during the early evening. The locals and landlord at Quarryman pub were friendly and always on hand to offer recommendations for places to visit. The location was perfect and oRead morenly a short distance from the Padstow, Bude, Newquay and the Eden Project. Would definitely recommend and book again. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
