A characterful barn conversion complete with shared heated indoor swimming pool and play barn, Skiber Long is one of two holiday properties set in a scenic countryside location on a welcoming working farm. Just 6 miles south of Launceston, it is within easy reach of the north and south coasts of Cornwall and over the border into Devon.

Snuggled around the lounge area in the evenings, you can enjoy the long summer nights with the door flung open onto the decking outside, or warm up on winter nights with the fire on and a hearty home-cooked meal. Revel in the peace and quiet on a romantic break, or keep the family entertained with swimming and games.

The pretty fishing village of Looe, on the south coast is 19 miles away, promising fresh seafood, quirky shops and a safe sandy beach. Don't miss the picturesque village of Polperro with its gorgeous harbour and rocky cliffs, 24 miles away. If you're looking for a day of retail therapy, Plymouth will be happy to oblige, with its high street stores and Drake Circus shopping centre providing plenty of opportunities to part with your pennies, a 21-mile drive.

Sue and Adi have been amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Long Barn Cottage, the location and views are just breathtaking! Beds were very comfortable and plenty of bedding and towels provided. Beautiful cottage, lovely owners and a brilliant pool that our boys loved jumping in for two sessions a day. The timetable of the pool worked really well. Stunning location, very peaceful and quiet and yet all main attractions from Newquay to Looe to Tintagel are within an hour. We would easily come back! Thank you

We had a weeks stay in Skiber Long. Location is a bit remote but is well worth the journey through the country lanes. The view when you arrive will take your breath away. A beautifully converted barn in pleasant countryside. The owners were very friendly. The property is very remote - perfect if you want peace and quiet. The lanes to access the property are very narrow with overgrown verges in the summer (both sides of the car pushing through the undergrowth!). A well equipped barn (cottage) in a beautiful area with wonderful views. The indoor swimming pool/games room was a great addition and well organised for social distancing with the other holiday cottage. A friendly and helpful host. A great place for families with young children. Our grandson really misses seeing the chickens every morning.

Off the beaten track, the accommodation is perfect for a quiet retreat. Hosts are warm and welcoming and accommodation is exactly what you would want from a barn conversion - exposed beams and wood burning fire gives an authentic feeling. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
