Surrounded by a 23-acre estate, this delightful barn conversion offers a peaceful retreat for romantic getaways for two. Discover the many quaint fishing villages, coves and beaches that this tranquil part of South Cornwall has to offer before returning to base for a relaxing swim in the shared outdoor pool.


Inside, the accommodation offers a tasteful blend of old and new, as a modern kitchen and open-plan lounge/diner combine with exposed ceiling beams and oak floorboards. Wake in the cosy double bedroom before heading outside for a reviving morning swim in the shared pool. After a day of exploring, dine alfresco in the charming shared courtyard or pack a picnic and stroll past fields of sheep, horses and chickens to find a peaceful spot to eat.


Located on the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, this area is steeped in maritime and smuggling history with plenty of stories to tell. Head towards the coast to visit the popular Mullion (4 miles) and Poldhu (2 miles) coves before stopping for an ice cream in the quaint fishing village of Porthleven. Ditch the car for a day and follow the breathtaking South West Coast Path or enjoy a day out at the popular attractions of The Eden Project (40 miles), Tate Gallery St Ives (20 miles) or Flambards Theme Park (5 miles).

We enjoyed our week at Squirrels Drey for the second year. Such a tranquil location, lovely grounds and a very warm welcome from Kevin and Trish. Easy access to Poldhu beach a few minutes drive, with plenty of options for coastal walks and sight seeing. Would love to return for a third year!

We stayed at Squirrels Dray for a week (25-31st August 2019) which is ideally located within 5 miles of both Helstone and Lizard Point-Kynance Cove and lots of other beauty spots and picturesque fishing villages are a matter of a short drive away-EVERYTHING is close by ! We had a fantastic week-they could not do enough for us and really made us feeRead morel welcome with fresh scones,jam and local clotted cream waiting for us as well as eggs and bread-thank you! We stayed at Squirrels Dray for a week. The property was ideal for us two, just the right size, just about everything you could want in a holiday apartment. Butter, milk, scones ,jam and cream on arrival as the welcome pack. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again

Squirrels Drey suited us so well. Spotlessly clean and everything you could need thought of and supplied. Loved the pool and the hot tub too. Kevin and Trish are so warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

A nicely furnished property with a comfy spacious lounge to relax in. On our arrival the owners had left us milk, eggs, butter, a crusty loaf and scones (with cream and jam) with was very thoughtful.

We booked a last minute 3 day weekend here and was not disappointed, despite only booking 5 hours before we arrived the friendly owners had a welcome basket waiting for us including fresh eggs from the chickens wandering around the farm. All the furnishings are comfortable, modern and well maintained. The whole property is quiet and in a beautiful Read morearea and the hot tub is a perfect way to end the day once the sun sets. Hide

Quiet relaxing location. Welcome basket with local produce very good. Good pool area and seating in sunny courtyard. Plenty of coastal walks nearby and coves to visit with sandy beaches. Good base for walkers. Friendly considerate managers on site if any questions. Our stay was very pleasant and hope to stay there again.

This was a lovely cottage in a stunning location. Set within a small comlex of holiday homes, with its own swimming pool and hot tub which are immaculately maintained. A lovely warm welcome from Kev & Trish, with cream tea & local produce waiting for us. Short drive from the nearest town.
