This stunning property has everything you could need for a relaxing break away to Cornwall. Just 5 miles from Newquay, you can enjoy the beach and the zoo – that's if you can tear yourself away from the hot tub on the balcony. Neutrally decorated with touches of the coast in every room, you're constantly reminded of how close to the Atlantic Ocean you are.

Teg Gwel Cottage has a huge open plan living space, making it perfect for families or large groups of friends to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Have breakfast at the bar in the kitchen before heading out, or go out to the balcony for the pretty countryside views when the weather is warm. Make sure you get first choice of bedrooms since one has direct access to the hot tub, so you can plunge in whenever the mood takes you.

Take a stroll around the rugged coastline, since you're only 7 miles from the pretty beach at Perranporth. You're also only 6 miles from the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay, which children will love. Really enjoyed our stay here and despite it being February, we still managed to use the hot tub with it being under cover. The yard where the hot tub is, is all enclosed. Across from the property was a track you could walk up to the dog walking field, where dogs can have a run around off lead. North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
