A superb detached bungalow with large enclosed garden, located in a peaceful village close to the picturesque harbour villages of Port Quin and Port Isaac

A stylish sanctuary for families who long to make the most of the rugged Cornish coast with their four-legged friends. The Foredeck is simple, spacious and elegant, offering the most peaceful of dog-friendly seaside getaways. After an idyllic day walking barefoot along soft stretches of beach, return to the bungalow where an outside shower awaits to wash off sandy toes and muddy paws before hunkering down for the night with a bottle of wine, warm by the hearth.

Boasting contemporary features, the bungalow takes inspiration from the nearby coast with nautical flourishes throughout. In the summer months, sundowners can be enjoyed in the extensive garden, while the winter is best spent cosied up in the lounge, watching the wild winter weather outside as the wood burner crackles in the background.

Situated in the quaint Cornish village of Trelights, The Foredeck is just 2 miles from dipping your toes in the cool sea. The picture-postcard harbour villages of Port Isaac and Port Quin are both within 2 miles where you can wander narrow winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages and sample fresh fish, crab and lobsters hauled in from the fishermen's daily catch. Immerse yourself in myths, legends and stunning scenery at Tintagel (11 miles), or ride the waves at the popular surfing beach of Polzeath (4 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The Foredeck is a lovely bungalow that is really well equipped and in a quiet small hamlet. Large grounds and spacious rooms were great and other than the older sofas and the small TV its a great place to stay. There isnt very much locally to do without travelling to other attractions and the nearest pub is a few miles away. The farm shop up the roRead moread was closed all week so not sure if that was any good but overall its a great place for peace and quiet in beautiful north Cornwall. Hide

This was our second stay at The Foredeck and once again we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Everything you could possibly need is available. The location is an ideal base for visiting many local attractions in Cornwall and the cottage is delightful to return to after busy days out & about. Home from home! P.S. our dog Todd loved playing with his foRead moreotball in the garden (when he wasnt sunbathing on the grass!) Hide

Remote location which might upset some people, but was perfect for us. Longcross Hotel is easy walking distance for a nice meal or a cheeky pint, with lovely views.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
