Property code: 78816

Semi-detached holiday cottage nestled in a quiet courtyard setting, boasting lovely views of the sea from the private balcony. A perfect retreat to Cornwall for families and couples alike.

Situated in a quiet location on a working farm with two other properties, this cottage is the perfect little bolthole for four. Cosy and comfortable, this delightful property is an opportunity to get away from busy life and spend time discovering both North Cornwall and Devon. Go for a splash in Bude Sea Pool (3 miles) or head up into Devon to Westward Ho! (24 miles) for a traditional seaside day out.

Whether you’re soaking up the views from the patio with your favourite tipple or you’re off exploring the nearby town of Stratton (1 mile), you’ll find your own way to unwind here. The unique reverse-level style of the property means you can spend mornings taking in the countryside views from the balcony off the lounge. The bedrooms have a quaint farmhouse charm to them thanks to wood panelling and barn doors; the vaulted ceiling in the double bedroom paired with soft pastel colours helps you to drift off to sleep and feel fully refreshed.

When you’ve had enough of the many beaches in Bude, Crackington Haven (12 miles) and Boscastle Harbour (15.5 miles) promise great days out. The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic just by the harbour is home to the largest collection of witchcraft-related artefacts, and when you’ve finished there you can join the South West Coast Path to Warren Point (325 metres from museum) and beyond. Up in Devon, children will love the Milky Way Adventure Park (15 miles) while grown-ups might prefer the pretty streets and gardens of Clovelly (15.5 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

What a fantastic stay! Great location, cottages had everything we needed and were beautiful. Sheila and Joe were both wonderful and accommodating. We all loved being on a working farm (especially the dog). Cannot wait to book our next visit!

The owners were so welcoming on arrival and provided the most lovely cake. We had a lovely stay in the cottage despite the weather being quite rough. The place had recently been refurbished with a new bath and kitchen and was well equipped with everything you need if you want to stay in. The lounge upstairs was cosy and warm and offers idyllic views across fields towards the sea. Due to the weather we didn't walk the dog Read moreacross the fields much which we were offered or down to the village which is about 20 min away. Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
