This beautiful property with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, is situated on the outskirts of Wadebridge. A great base for exploring the wonderful locations of the North Coast and in particular the ever popular Rock and Padstow. Absolutely perfect for two families sharing

Whisk the whole family away to this spacious eco-designed property on the outskirts of Wadebridge. On a fine weekend grab your bikes and explore the scenic Camel Trail nearby and when your legs are in need of a rest, return to a bubbly hot tub and chink glasses as the sun sets over the estuary with the mouthwatering scent of a chargrilled feast wafting from the barbeque.

Inside The Hawthorns, the decor is stylish and modern, yet not without rural charm. The open-plan layout retains a light and airy feel, but when the wood burner is lit on a crisp winter evening, the flickering flames reflect the interior's warm colour palette. Perfect for large family gatherings, the lavish dining area provides the perfect setting for a celebratory meal with a backdrop of Cornish countryside through the French doors. Swing these doors open and step out onto the balcony for a sundowner as the day draws to an end.

For those seeking a great shopping experience, head to the cathedral city of Truro (24 miles), while beach lovers are sure to love the sweeping stretches of sand at Rock (7 miles) and Polzeath (8 miles). Follow in the footsteps of Doc Martin and visit the traditional fishing village of Port Isaac (10 miles) where the TV series was filmed for its picturesque winding streets lined with whitewashed cottages, or sample some freshly caught fish at one of the seafood restaurants in Padstow (8 miles).

We are so happy to have booked this house. We went away with our 4 children and their partners to celebrate a 21st, 18th and 10th birthday. We all had our own double bedrooms and en-suite and there was just so much space. I cant think of anything this house didnt have. Beautifully decorated. The location was perfect and central for all our favouritRead moree surfing beaches. Wadebridge is a lovely friendly town, loved the Gin Shack and Tea rooms. Owners friendly and helpful. Hope to return Hide

Excellent space and plenty of bathrooms, must have been amazing when first done but now seems a little tired. Good outdoor space and barbecue, tub tired and no foot wash. Didn't use outside much due to large amounts of rotting apples with accompanying wasps. We had a good time and with a bit of TLC the place would be brilliant.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this property despite the weather not being as kind as we had hoped. The hot tub is a definite bonus and was well used. It is ideal for a family gathering and I would recommend it for that purpose. There are several supermarkets nearby and the town, which is a short walk, is well served with eating places.

This property suited our group of 6 adults. 5 children aged between 5 and 11, plus 2 cocker spaniels just fine. The hot-tub was a winner.

Fabulous house for big families or big parties. Lovely view over the country side. Great location if you have a car beautiful fishing villages around. The house is on the top of a hill so you need to be fit if you want to visit the town and we found out that there is no taxis on a Sunday evening. Recommended.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
