This beautiful house is in an elevated terrace of period houses and boasts wide estuary views across to Fowey. It has a secluded garden and is situated in the heart of the village near to the local shop and pub.

Overlooking the River Fowey, this light and airy traditional townhouse boasts spacious accommodation with exceptional sea views, just a short stroll to the bustling quayside of Polruan where you will find a selection of independent stores and the friendly village inn. Join the South West Coast Path and spend your day hiking along the coastline in search of the perfect picnic spot before returning to relax in front of the cottage’s living room wood burner.

Reached via a short flight of external steps, step into the entrance hallway off which you will find two of the well-appointed bedrooms and family bathroom. Take the stairs to the first floor where the open-plan living space enjoys estuary views. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, share meals around the large dining table and relax in the comfy seating as the logs crackle in the wood burner. A further bedroom can be found on this floor while steep cottage stairs lead to the second floor and the king-size master bedroom. Outside, steps lead to the patio and fully enclosed lawn, perfect for alfresco dining and relaxed evenings taking in the views.

There are a host of walks from picturesque Polruan, including the spectacular coastal ‘Hall Walk’ through peaceful woodlands and along tranquil creeks. From Polruan, catch the passenger ferry to neighbouring Fowey to browse the artisan shops and galleries or discover the local marine life at the aquarium. Hop onboard one of the boat trips that run from the harbour, setting sail along the river or along the coastline. Further afield, spend the day splashing in the surf at stunning Polkerris Beach (6.5 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A beautiful property. I hope that it retains the standard of cleanliness as it would appear as not a commercial property, but as one's home, with all the care, thought and quality.

Lovely accommodation. Beautiful view. Lots of thought gone into cottage and the handy guide we were sent. Car park at top of hill not too far away but hill pretty steep. Front door lock hard to open so we mentioned. Kids adored it. Very relaxing place. We had good weather which was amazing. Beware of the seagulls-we only tried eating outside at theRead more back once as my son was decorated by one and so was our washing. Top floor steps steep at they warn but was OK for us. We had a lovely time. Hide

Well equipped with modern fittings. Access to the master bedroom and ensuite is difficult if a person has problems with the stairs, the staircase is very steep. Hours can be spent looking at the view from the lounge window, the view up river is fantastic.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
