Our holiday was peaceful and perfect. It was set in the most private location with the barn property across the car park who we hardly saw/heard. As a dog owner, looking for 'dog friendly' holiday homes is obviously important. Swallows Nest ticks a lot of boxes, especially with the nearby paddock. Internally, the barn is perfect. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and really well equipped, as well as being in beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay so wRead moree didn't get to use the hot tub. A pergola over the area, like the adjacent Swallows Barn has, would've given our dog a dry place to wait. Hide

Great location, peaceful but within easy access to A30 to North and A roads to South. Local eateries all down minor roads, unfortunate feature of Cornwall! Bed and sofa really comfortable. Used table tennis equipment a lot. Good sized fridge and freezer.

A lovely, modern cottage and no complaints about the structure. Absolute bonus to have an enclosed hot tub which was bliss after a days walking. Would have been helpful to have an enclosed area directly outside for the dogs - not always easy to have dogs on leads all the time you are outside of the door.

We had a wonderful time, everything was spot on, the cottage was spotless, we everything you could want included, the hot tub was great and the setting was perfect for exploring with easy access to main roads too. Very nicely presented, spacious and well equipped cottage. Clean and modern with nice BBQ area. Our dogs loved the paddock to run freely and exercise chase balls etc. We particularly loved the hot tub which was set in an enclosed private area. The property shares the driveway/grounds with the larger house so if you want to be totally separate from Read moreother holiday makers then bear that in mind. We didn't mind at all as we still found it the perfect peaceful location to relax. Hide

The cottage has everything you could wish for a good break. The location is great for the north & south coasts as well as Dartmoor & Bodmin moor. Only downside (from my perspective) is the nearest pub is over three miles walk!!!!!! I would definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to book again.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
