This stunning house commands prime location on the outskirts and with views of, the picture postcard village of Mevagissey. A short walk down the drive and you are in the heart of this unspoilt Cornish fishing village, that still has strong links to its roots.

With views down to the picturesque village of Mevagissey with its charming harbour and quaint village, Treleaven Farmhouse commands a prime location on the south coast of Cornwall. A solar heated shared swimming pool and outdoor space with huge dining table make this property the ideal place to enjoy a special celebration with family and friends. Take evening cocktails on the stone terrace before dinner, then sit back and watch the sparkling lights of the harbour below as you dine.

The interior of the property is not only light and spacious, offering various areas for larger groups to get together to socialise, but it is also cosy enough when the curtains are drawn to find your own corner when you need a little peace. Most of the rooms have far-reaching views either down to the harbour or of the surrounding countryside, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful setting whatever the weather.

Both adults and children will love a trip to the Eden Project, 10 miles by car as well as the botanical paradise of the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 2 miles from the farm. For beach babies, just 2 miles away is Pentewan with its huge sandy beach, great for building sandcastles and playing games. If you like water sports, it is also a popular surfing and sailing spot. This cottage was everything we wanted for a large family holiday. The swimming pool ( and the weather) was an essential requirement and the facilities were excellent. The owners were very friendly and took time to escort our grandchildren round their farm animals.

A great house for two or three families or many friends gathering. The kitchen was really easy to use and a bonus for guests who like to cook. The spaciousness made life easier for children and adults to have their own space! The swimming pool was amazing and we all had a good time in it despite not many days of sunshine! Our four year old who isn'Read moret very tall would have coped better with a stepped pool. The view of the sea and garden and surroundings were lovely and great location. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
