Property code: 77922

An idyllic rural setting with walks on your doorstep; the cottage has been lovingly fitted and furnished in a contemporary country style and is a perfect bolthole or romantic getaway.

Nestled amongst the Cornish countryside, this stunning cottage is the perfect romantic retreat for couples looking to immerse themselves in rural tranquillity. Despite its relatively secluded location, it’s ideally placed for guests to explore the natural beauty of the East Cornwall coastline. It also sits just south of rugged Bodmin Moor with its walking/cycling trails. After a day exploring, head home for a spot of al fresco dining in the pretty, enclosed garden or snuggle up on the sofa in front of the wood burner.

Packed with original features, this cottage is full of rural charm, but it’s been sympathetically restored in a contemporary-cottage style to ensure it satisfies the needs of its modern guests. Stepping through the French doors, you’ll find yourself in the cosy open-plan living space, where vaulted ceilings and neutral walls create a feeling of light and space. The lounge centres around the wood burner in its original fireplace, whilst a breakfast bar separates the lounge from the well-equipped, hand-built kitchen. Next door, you’ll find the cool, calm and stylish king-size bedroom and its stunning en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Outside, there’s a beautiful cottage garden and patio.

Looe and Polperro (both 6 miles away) are two of Cornwall’s many attractive fishing towns/villages which offer a wealth of independent shops, eateries and galleries amongst their cobbled streets. Keen walkers can also join the South West Coast Path here and enjoy seeing the coast from a different perspective. If you’d prefer to relax on a beach with a good book, head to the National Trust’s Lantic Bay (7 miles). Alternatively, the world-famous Eden Project is only 17 miles away and definitely worth a visit.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Had a lovely time here, the cottage was a good size and lovely inside. There is a folder inside the property which is very helpful. The roads to cottage are not very wide.

We had a great time in a lovely cottage, it was spotlessly clean and done to a very high standard, we immediately felt at home and comfortable, the enclosed garden was perfect for our two springers. The owners are lovely and are on hand if needed, and the fresh scones with clotted cream and jam on arrival was just what we needed after a long journeyRead more. Hide

This is a lovely romantic cottage with patio doors that lead to a spacious, well kept garden which our dogs loved. The owners are lovely and a phone call away if needed. There are lots of walks and beaches in the area or other popular destinations are not to far out. We would definitely recommend Trevenna cottage.

Cottage is beautiful, well equipped & comfortable. Garden is also lovely, & set up perfectly to take a dog with you on holiday. The only thing to be aware of is the typically Cornish roads between the cottage & the main road. You do get used to it, but it's a bit hairy on the first few runs. I couldn't get a mobile signal near the cottage, but the Read morewifi is excellent. Hide

A lovely cottage just right for a couple, the only down side was the very narrow track you had to drive down to get to reach it,there aren't many passing places.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
