Property code: VILLA

Seaside villa in stunning location, nestled amongst the dunes on the wide, sandy beach at Hayle.

In an extraordinary location right by the wide, sandy beach at Hayle, with uninterrupted views across the beach and Carbis Bay to St Ives in the distance, this large bungalow property will provide a memorable setting for your classic North Cornish seaside holiday. The South West Coast Path runs just beyond the garden fence so you have access to miles of beautiful coastal walking. The property and the beach are dog-friendly so your four-legged friends can come along too.

With big, bright windows facing westwards to the sea, the amazing view and that distinctive North Cornish light wash right inside. The overriding feel is of space and comfort, with natural wood flooring and special touches like a telescope for wildlife watching, and graceful white drapes making the sitting room feel even brighter. Outside, there's a large paved patio area with seating and a small summerhouse, so fire up the BBQ and round off your beach day with sundowners and maybe some delicious sizzling grilled mackerel, in fine seaside style.

Because of the famous North Cornish light and landscape, there's a great tradition of local artists; they are showcased in many local galleries and at the Tate St Ives Gallery, 10 miles away. Hayle centre is 1 mile away on foot and has great shops and restaurants. For a different style of beach, Portreath, 10 miles away, lies between sheltering cliffs. Famous for its Atlantic swells, be sure to try your hand at surfing whilst in North Cornwall too. Or, visit spectacular St Michael's Mount, via picturesque Marazion in the very different landscape of the south coast, 11 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 3 bedrooms: 2 doubles and a twin
  • Bathroom with bath, shower, and heated towel rail (separate WC)
  • Electric cooker, ornamental Aga, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer
  • Bed linen, towels and central heating included
  • Private parking for three cars
  • 4 dogs welcome
  • TV, DVD and coal effect gas fire in the lounge

Second time we have stayed, view is to die for. Beach just at end of garden. Very close to supermarket and shops as Hayle just 5 mins away you must shop once, but you will never want to leave as its all about the view and beach.

This property is in the most amazing location with a full sea view, fantastic garden and gate leading out onto the cliff path which goes down to the beach. The dog friendly beach is a short walk along the cliff path and down. We all had a fantastic week and have already booked again for next year!

Excellent location overlooking the sea and just a 2 minute walk down to the beach and sea. The garden is great for the dogs and its a real bonus that you can take 4 dogs. The property has everything you need but could do with a little updating in areas. This did not effect our holiday as the views out way everything. We could of just stayed sittingRead more in the garden looking at the views forever. Hayle is a great base for shops and take aways and you can visit other places very easily. Hide

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
