One of two properties on a rural farm complex, this barn conversion is surrounded by 35 acres of countryside and is centrally located for visiting attractions all over Cornwall.

Situated on 35 acres of private countryside just southwest of Bodmin Moor, Wisteria Barn offers the quintessential cottage experience. Sharing a farm complex with the owner's home you'll have plenty to explore on your doorstep, and with National Trust locations nearby and donkeys and chickens in the surrounding fields, you'll feel fully immersed in country life.

With a large and welcoming main room, this cosy cottage is airy and spacious on the inside. Bolstered by a high ceiling with rich wood panelling, soft pastel colours, floral decor throughout and stone flooring warming under the wood burner, it's the cottage fantasy through and through. There's ample room for company, whether you're birdwatching at the breakfast table, or in the kitchen sharing a pot of tea after a fun-filled day out.

Travelling only 6 miles into the heart of the moorlands you will find Colliford Lake, the second largest lake in Cornwall, or 8 miles east to find the stunning Golitha Falls and Carnglaze Caverns. The bustling historic town of Bodmin is a quick trip at 4 miles, home to Bodmin Jail, charming old pubs and a golf club. Quick access to the A30 means that trips to Cornwall's most famous attractions such as The Eden Project, The Tate Gallery in St. Ives, Bude and Tintagel Castle are also possible.

Can not speak highly enough of the owners. The location was great for the Moor, and equal distance from the south and north coasts. Tucked up out of the way but minutes from the A30 and Bodmin for provisions.

Map
Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
