Situated on a complex of properties with excellent shared facilities such as a games room and courtyard, plus free access to carp fishing, this wonderful barn offers a relaxing yet sociable getaway in a peaceful countryside setting. The barn itself is the perfect mix between charming original features and modern comforts, creating a cosy atmosphere for your romantic retreat.

Feel instantly at home in the light and airy lounge/kitchen/diner, with exposed stone walls and warm woods, as well as windows looking out on to the shared courtyard. Settle down on the sofa in the evening and put on your favourite film on the TV. If you fancy dining in, the kitchen is fitted with a Rayburn and Belfast sink for a country-living cooking experience. After an enjoyable day, retire to the spacious bedroom with French doors leading out to the courtyard and comfortable furnishings for a restful night of sleep. On warm summer’s evenings, dine alfresco in the courtyard, or enjoy a game of darts in the shared games room.

The pretty town of Launceston is just over 2 miles away and has a lovely selection of independent shops and eateries. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the broad variety of landscapes nearby, with the South West Coast Path and Dartmoor National Park for long hikes. Spend the day by the sea, with the coast just under 20 miles away, and plenty of beaches such as Crackington Beach and Widemouth Bay. For a historic excursion, visit the legendary Tintagel Castle, 22 miles away.

Lovely cottage, extremely clean. The welcome package was very much appreciated and very thoughtful. The fudge was yummy.

Lovely dog friendly property complete with dog towels. The owners were friendly and thoughtful. The cream tea on arrival was lovely. Lots of hot water a good shower and efficient heating which was welcome as we picked the rainiest week of the year to visit. Conveniently situated to visit Devon and Cornwall. Lovely barn conversion very nicely furnished. Location was nice away from the road plenty of space to walk the dog. A nice touch providing a bed, towel and treats for the dog and cream tea for us. Very nice friendly owners.
