Enjoy nature with a stay in a Cornish lodge

Kate Williams 03 March 2021

There’s nothing quite like the comforts of a log cabin holiday. With the wood burner roaring away and blankets piled high, an atmosphere of cosiness and relaxation infiltrates the lodge. During warm summer evenings or chilly winter nights, it’s a wonderful choice for families looking for a fun break away from daily life and ideal for couples in need of a romantic trip together.

The serene and scenic landscape of Cornwall, with its relatively mild climate compared to the rest of the UK, is just about the perfect place to escape to a country lodge or log cabin. Indoor/outdoor living is often associated with this luxury travel option, with floor-to-ceiling windows, BBQs and hot tubs offering the chance for a back-to-nature holiday amid stunning scenery.

Throughout Cornwall, there are so many beautiful places to visit, including stretches of Heritage Coast and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so it’s understandable you may find it difficult to pick where to stay. That’s why we’ve put together a list of our favourite five lodges, with everything from hot tub lodges to family-friendly log cabin holidays for you to take a look at. Do any of these holiday retreats catch your eye?

If you’re already feeling inspired to escape on a log cabin holiday, start browsing our cottages collections of log cabins and lodges throughout Cornwall and enjoy a wonderful holiday to this beautiful part of the South West.
