WIN £500 holiday and a tour of Skinner’s Brewery

Feeling lucky? We’ve teamed up with Skinner’s Brewery in Cornwall to celebrate the launch of their tasty new lager, Towans, to give you the chance of winning a fantastic prize (or two!)

Inspired by Towans, we thought we’d give you a chance to get a glimpse into the location behind the lager by offering up the chance to win a £500 voucher towards your stay in Cornwall. Plus, while you’re there, you’ll be able to get to grips with Skinner’s roots on a brewery tour for two (*taste testing included). It’s the full experience for you and whoever you decide to bring along.

Kennack Heights, Cornwall

Whether you’re eager to get away on last-minute summer escape to catch the last of the Cornish rays, or fancy sneaking away off-peak, you’ll be able to choose your very own home-from-home in our collection.

Want to know more about Towans?

“We’ve taken inspiration from the beautiful coastline near our brewery to create Towans - a dry-hopped lager that is as golden as our Cornish beaches with a taste as powerful and refreshing as the Atlantic ocean. Towans is the Cornish word for sand dunes, they are unrivalled places to relax within, hidden from the winds that whip the coastline. Retreat to the towans and you can bask in the sunshine, enjoy a beach bbq or simply watch the world drift by.  Towans lager gives you a lighter refreshing pint, bursting with character and crafted with the same skill and care our brewers give our ales. Like the Cornish dune-scape, Towans is crafted over time and shaped by nature. We use Chinook, Saaz and Rakau hops to develop flavour and wheat malt to craft a distinctive foamy head like the Atlantic waves hitting our shores.”

Competition closes on 31st August 2019.

Whether you’re a local or travelling from afar for a festive family get-together, discover the very best of a Cornish Christmas today…

A local's guide to Land's End

Land’s End is not a town or village, there are no houses. It’s based on the site of a couple of farmsteads but nowadays it is a top visitor attraction that consists of some cool amusements and a variety of places to eat. The nearest towns and villages are St Just and Sennen, along with Penwith’s largest settlement, Penzance, that lies 9.5 miles away.

Top things to do in South Cornwall

Visit the world’s largest indoor rainforest, explore the atmospheric filming locations of Poldark and sunbathe on silky golden sands beside crystal-clear waters; forget flying to the Caribbean or finding a far-flung exotic escape, South Cornwall offers an abundance of exciting days out for all the family. But with so much on offer, how will you decide what to see first?
