The Rose in Vale Country House Hotel is one of Cornwall’s hidden Gems. Concealed in its own secluded valley, amongst beautiful gardens, it is a wonderful retreat from the summer crowds for those who wish to simply relax, though also in a perfect location for those who want to explore the magnificent nearby coastline, beaches, and gardens.

Rose in Vale is privately owned. Managed by Paul and Claire along with an amazing team you will be looked after from the moment you arrive. The Rose in Vale offers their guests the very best accommodation, whilst staying true to the country house ambience.

Come and enjoy the cosy lounges with roaring log fires in winter, the tranquil gardens and the globe where you can unwind with bird song and the babbling stream plus, of course, the pool and Jacuzzi in the Cornish summer sunshine. Rose in Vale does not accept bookings for children under 12 years of age, so we are an ideal all-year-round destination for those who relish peace and tranquillity. The hotel is very dog friendly where they are welcomed in the rooms, bar and lounge areas.

Good food is a very important part of your stay and The Rose in Vale Restaurant with its 2 AA rosette award has a plethora of fine food to offer with a seasonal A la Carte and daily specials to choose from. The hotel was awarded an AA 4* certificate in June 2012 and continues to gain further accolades thanks to a dedicated team who aim to always deliver the highest levels of personal service to their guests. They look forward to welcoming you to Rose in Vale.

North Cornwall

Embark on clifftop wanderings along the South West Coast Path to discover ancient myths and legends; King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, or the giant at the Bedruthan Steps. Surfers flock here to ride the famous swell that carved the dramatic coastline, and Bude and Newquay are havens for the sport. From sandy bays and beaches to the seafood delights of Padstow or thrills of Camel Creek Adventure Park, North Cornwall is brimming with things to do; trails to trek, cream teas to gobble, and adventure to be had.

West Cornwall

Let the history, romance and raw beauty of West Cornwall whisk you through time, into rocky coves and along sweeping sands to Land’s End where the UK slips into the Atlantic. Discover an oasis of flora owed to the rare geology of the Lizard peninsula. You can kayak around Godrevy Island, wander the galleries of St Ives, catch a performance at the open-air Minack Theatre, and still make it to Marazion for dinner: St Michael’s Mount makes the ultimate backdrop.

South Cornwall

Tucked away from the swell of the Atlantic pretty fishing harbours sleep, and lush carpets of greenery roll up to craggy cliffs. Discover the fishing and smuggling history in Kingsand and Cawsand, or walk the South West Coast Path from Fowey to the tiny tidal beach at Readymoney Cove. Sample local ales in St Austell before visiting Charlestown’s tall ships, the enchantments of the Eden Project, or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. From vibrant towns to secret beaches and exhilarating days out, the south has it all.
