Best for: A traditional seaside day out

This large sandy expanse is perhaps the most popular beach on this stretch of coastline. A sandy shelf ensures that the water is shallow for a long period, ideal for the children to have a worry-free paddle in. The beach is only a short walk from Looe, ideal for picking up a spot of lunch.

Hannafore Beach

Hannafore Beach

Best for: Rock pooling

You'll be treated to fantastic view of St George's Island (also known as Looe Island) from this beach which is mainly sandy shingle. At low tide a world of rock pools is unearthed being home to a wide range of marine life.

Talland Bay

Talland Bay

Best for: Swimming

Best for: Diving

This beach provides thrill seekers with the perfect opportunity for having some fun in and on the water. Boats and Jet Ski's can be launched from the beach and there is a sunken ship three-quarters of a mile off the coast that divers will enjoy exploring.
