This lovely cabin style retreat is tucked away, nestled next to the owner's residence. It sits alongside the 'Red River', giving the gentle sound of a babbling brook and a relaxing feeling of peace and quiet.  Plenty of birds visit here and resident foxes and badgers come out at night. You may be lucky enough to see the pair of white Magpies that  pop in. There are plenty of walks and bike rides from your doorstep including the nearby great flat lode and various mining trails. A short drive in any direction will take you to several of Cornwall's best-loved towns and attractions; take a trip to one of the many popular beaches with surfing, the South West Coastal path and village amenities, including Porthtowan, Portreath and Gwithian. The cobbled streets of St Ives are less than 16 miles with its endless galleries, boutique shops and eateries. Enjoy a family day out at St Michaels Mount, a variety of watersports at Stithians lake or Flambards.

Step inside to discover the spacious and tastefully furnished kitchen/diner with a separate utility. This is a wonderful social space, with a dining area and fabulous kitchen with everything you need for your holiday. Retire to the lounge area, which has been beautifully decked out with with luxurious flooring and incredibly comfy sofas. Kick back with a good book or find a film on the Smart TV after a day of exploring. The family bathroom is on the ground floor and heading upstairs to the large landing, you'll find a king-size bedroom with views across to fields between the trees. The second bedroom is a twin with tasteful furnishings and finally a single bedroom with plenty of storage.

Outside, is an area of lawn and stream bordering the boundary, overlooking the neighbouring field. Dine alfresco and even star gaze under the night sky with the BBQ on the go.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Fantastic place to stay to explore Cornwall. Comfortabke beds, large lounge to relax and Fantastic kitchen and dining area to come together. The hosts were welcoming and very helpful.

We had the most wonderful holiday at red river cabin. The cabin itself is clean with everything you might need and more! The welcome pack was lovely with everything we needed for the next day and some lovely treats! This is a beautiful property that's very well thought out for families. It's well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the shower is powerful and the water hot. It's in a quiet location with space outside for children to play and for adults to enjoy a glass of wine by the stream. The owners parents were so lovely and very helpful. We have had a lovely stay at Red River Cabin. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. Lovely welcome hamper provided on arrival. Cabin has plenty of room with beds and sofas being very comfortable with thought given to the decoration and furnishings. Kitchen is well equipped and roomy. The outside space is lacking, the photos don't show that the majority of outside space is mostly driveway shared with the owner which is right opposite so if you have young children who like to play outside then this probably isn't for you. Oh my life, what fantastic accommodation and such a warm welcome from the owner. We spent seven, relaxing days here. Really great location for exploring the delights of Cornwall, especially central and south. The Red Cabin has large kitchen and living areas and is very well kept. We were impressed by the generous welcome pack. Hosts were friendly and available for any issues, however a formal written instruction booklet as is found elsewhere would have been useful. Only issue was the listing specifies a bath over shower, but the bath is not useable as tRead morehe only way to fill with hot water is by using the MIRA shower, which is not powerful enough,So is ok for shower people not if you love baths Hide

What a place! Such an incredible setting. It really is a beautiful location. The stream and the horses - kids just loved it. Beaches and amenities are a stones throw - nothing is further than 20mins away which is perfect when you have younger children. Excellent accommodation! Really comfy beds and sofa. Excellent place to stay! The only extra that I would have liked is a dressing table in the main room. I did also think you could benefit from a grab rail in the bathroom (on wall) for smaller or less mobile people. More than perfect though!
