Breath taking views greet you on your arrival into Newquay as the high cliffs drop into the Atlantic. This resort has become the UK's lifestyle hotspot and a Mecca for surfing fans, the closest beaches are Fistral, for surfing, and Crantock beach which can be accessed by the ferry across the Gannel River. There are also many other nearby beaches including Towan, Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze. The original Newquay harbour still retains its fishing fleet and is a great place to relax and unwind in the restaurants next to, and overlooking the harbour. Attractions in the local area include many restaurants, a golf course, boating lake, miniature railway, Newquay Zoo, Blue Reef aquarium, Dairyland, Pirate's Quest, the Eden Project and many National Trust properties, such as, Trerice Manor which is less than 4 miles away.
